Story

​During COVID-19, Emergency Department psychotherapist Megan Mantle saw a gap in relevant service provision for her team members in medicine struggling with anxiety, depression, and PTSD symptoms. Virtual psychotherapy was delivered from a walk-in closet in her downtown Toronto condo to a small number of professional people in April 2020. Workhorse Health received continuous feedback from clients who identified with a mental health company that facilitated the support they were looking for so they could continue working in the roles they enjoyed. Clients continued to voice "you're the first psychotherapist who has not recommended that I take time away from work," and refined its service to continue meeting these needs.

 

In November 2021, our Workhorse Health team grew to 4 members in order to provide the highest-level of service delivery and administrative support to professionals across Ontario.

 

As of August 2023, there are twelve highly-experienced mental health clinicians that provide psychotherapy, urgent care, and on-call support to valued partner clinics and their clients in our boutique network 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Our virtual and in-person services have now reached across Canada.

 

The Workhorse Health team continues to meet the the need for industry-relevant mental health support for professionals in the legal field, finance, tech, and healthcare.
